To simplify the storyline, it is stated that those are the toys of respective characters, and game has full-fledge Story Mode depicting main hero engaging in toy Duels with various opponents, buying new toys (characters), and advancing to new areas and stages in Duel Toys tournament. In a way its similar to concept of trainers battles, most popularly presented in Pokemon series. Game also has Arcade Mode and VS mode, which allow 1-on-1, 2-on-2 tag, and 3-on-3 battles.
All characters have special moves ""Model Specials" and super gauge-based super moves "Model Discharges". Fighting system has two grooves to select, which are explained by toys being produced by two manufacturers, "Solar Lemon" and "StarJoy", and as such, there are two versions of each character, with sometimes different special moves, and always different supers (each character has unique super based on groove he uses). Solar Lemon groove is basically a "mobile & weak" groove, while StarJoy is "slow & strong". For example StarJoy versions of characters are unable to run, and their super gauge fills slowly, but their supers are very damaging.
Now the game is in version 1.2.1 beta. I have put a movelist for game, you can download it here.
It also lists non-working moves. I havent put any moves for boss characters since I guess they cannot be unlocked.
Since this game was made by DieFox "as a way to show his work and portfolio to the world", the more attention it gets, the better. To this end, he announced that he will release new version with 20 more characters if he reaches 1000 followers on his twitter channel http://twitter.com/dueltoys
Also, there is possibility of netplay implementation in future releases, as the engine on which game is built, has netplay support in form of http://www.fusionwiki.com/wiki/Lacewing
